ABM Landscaping were engaged to undertake the gabion wall structures, grass roots matting and revegetation on this project. This particular job offered plenty of complexities as the gabion structure was the retaining system for the development of a working boat ramp and access stairs; a water barrier was constantly in place to manage the rise and fall of the swan river so that works could be completed. All materials where delivered via barge from Fremantle port and off loaded direct to site. Given the extreme level variance from school to foreshore, ABM made use of harnesses to construct various pieces on the project. It was a pleasure to be part of this unique, one off development that enhanced the swan river foreshore for occupants and onlookers.
