ABM Landscaping has a strong connection with the Perth Hills area. We closely collaborate with several Local Governments. When the opportunity arose to support a local initiative in Mundaring, we enthusiastically seized the chance.
This initiative was initially developed and executed by the Urban Ecosystems and Parks and Operations team at the Town of Victoria Park. It is now being implemented by the @Shire of Mundaring, with support from the local community.
The “Cockitrough” presents an excellent opportunity for local businesses to contribute and support our local birdlife, including the endangered Carnaby’s and Baudin’s Cockatoos, as well as the at-risk Forest Red Tailed Cockatoos.
The “Cockitrough” provides permanent fresh water for birdlife, in landscapes increasingly being impacted by the reduction of habitats. These structures can connect and guide the way to rebuild wildlife corridors and improve urban ecosystems.
